Email accounts these days are not only for sending and receiving email. They are linked to many different apps and storage locations such as Google Drive. While these are meant to be secure, they are susceptible to hackers as well. Yahoo is currently reporting a second hacking incident. One of our clients was hacked and to us for help recovering their account. Unfortunately, we have not yet been successful. To ensure the most secure account, please take the following steps: 1. Create a strong password. A strong password is one which contains a mix of upper and lower letters, symbols (I.e. @#$_&) and numbers. Be sure to change your password every couple of months 2. Enter your recovery information. Include as much as you can, including an alternative email and phone number. 3. Do not follow links in emails asking you to change your password. Instead, go to the control panel of your email and change your password there. Trying to recover your account from hackers is a nightmare. Secure your account before you become a victim.
